Young Leaders Dialogue Nadi Declaration on Human Rights and Good Governance
Pacific young leaders, advocates and practitioners, who attended the Regional Young Leaders’ Dialogue on Good Governance and Human Rights organised by the Pacific Community's Regional Rights Resource Team and Social Development Programme (SPC RRRT & SDP) at Nadi, Fiji in October 2019, acknowledge the importance of full youth participation at the national, regional and global levels to ensure informed and effective decision making and the full realisation of good governance and human rights through the Nadi Declaration on Human Rights and Good Governance.
Port Vila Declaration on Human Rights, Good Governance, and Sustainable Development
Pacific Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu made history by signing the Port Vila Declaration on Human Rights, Good Governance and Sustainable Development at the conclusion of a three-day Pacific Regional MPs Dialogue in Vanuatu on 7 November 2019.
The Pacific Human Rights Law Digest (Volume 6) is a collection of recent human rights case law from across the Pacific for use by legal practitioners, magistrates and judges, policy makers and advocates as precedents and tools for policy initiatives.
This edition highlights a sample cases that relate to constitutional bill of rights, human rights conventions, standards and principles. An additional section in this edition has a particular focus on cases dealing with sexual orientation, gender identity and expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC).
