The NMIRF concept is a new one, and hence this video highlights how the identified countries (Kiribati, Vanuatu, Samoa) NMIRFs or similar structures are centrally placed not only to coordinate reporting but also to coordinate and track the follow-up recommendations or decisions of international and regional human rights mechanisms. It also explores what the national mechanism for reporting and follow up is as a national public mechanism or structure, how it coordinates and tracks national follow-up and implementation of treaty obligations and recommendations emanating from these mechanisms.
