Pacific Gender Research Symposium

The Pacific Gender Research Symposium and Workshop held from 21 to 23 June 2014 was an exciting space for academics and practitioners to discuss their work in advancing the gender research capacity-building agenda among Pacific Island Countries.

At the symposium, the development of the Toksave Pacific Gender Resource was initiated by Pacific gender specialists who gathered at the University of the South Pacific to express their concern that gender research - especially that undertaken by Pacific researchers - was not discoverable.
