Filipe Saafi supports the implementation of the Pacific Youth Engagement, Empowerment and Economic Pathways (PYEEEP) project in Tonga.  

Filipe has worked as a youth and community worker for over ten years with experience working with young people in Tonga at the community and national level. Filipe is a former Youth Parliament Member and former National Youth Delegate (Tonga) to the Commonwealth Youth Council. Filipe previously worked for The Salvation Army for seven years as a Regional Youth and Children’s Secretary and then at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Youth Development Division for two years before joining the Human Rights Social Development Division at SPC. Filipe graduated with a Diploma Level 6 (NZQA) from Tupou Tertiary Institute in 2016.
