Youth Development Country Coordinator, Solomon Islands

Margareth is the Youth Development Country Coordinator for HRSD in the Solomon Islands. She coordinates the implementation of the Pacific Youth Engagement, Empowerment, and Economic Pathways (PYEEEP) project in the Solomon Islands. This includes programme management, provision of technical support and assistance and managing networking partnership. 

Before joining the HRSD, Margareth was working at the Youth Development Division (YDD) of the Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs (MWYCFA) of the Solomon Islands Government as the Youth Development Officer (YDO) responsible for Central Islands Province and Guadalcanal Province. She was a Community Engagement Facilitator for a project called Safe Families under Oxfam International, and a Climate Change Assistant Coordinator for Youth@Work under SPC. 

She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies and a bachelor’s degree in marine affairs and geography from the University of the South Pacific (USP) in Fiji, as well as a certificate IV in Youth Work from the Australian Pacific Technical Collation (APTC) in Solomon Islands.
