Mele oversees the management of two grants under the Pacific Girl project which is under the Pacific Women Lead programme at SPC. The grantees are The Young Womens Empowerment Programme under the Chuuk’s Women Council in Chuuk, FSM and the My Body, My Rights programme under Talitha Project, Tonga in Tonga.

She previously worked as the My Body! My Rights! Programme Manager with Talitha Project and as an awareness and education officer for the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development for the Tongan government. Her background is in political science and public administration and management with a BCom in that area.
